Well, that was a week.
Monday night broke a 97-year April rainfall record. Basements are filled up. Roads closed. Half of Brown County is still drying out. If you're among those dealing with flooding, our hearts are with you.
The silver lining? Friday hits 70(hopefully), the sun's coming back, and this weekend is stacked. Concerts, family events, a couple of "did you know that's happening?" picks, and a 12-year-old from Suamico who just played Augusta.
Here's your weekly rundown.

Over 10,000 Green Bay locals keep up with whatโs happening through Green Bay Buzz.

โณ Suamico 12-Year-Old Competed at Augusta National
12-year-old Hallie Fisch from Suamico competed at the Drive, Chip and Putt National Finals at Augusta National on April 5. She's been swinging a club since she was a toddler, rides along with her dad at Crystal Springs Golf Course in Seymour, and won her qualifier at Whistling Straits.
She finished sixth in the Girls 12-13 division, placing third in putting and fourth in chipping, with a best drive of 198 yards. Not bad for a sixth-grader at Lineville Intermediate.
๐ Bellevue Hosted "Pizza with Police" Night
The Village of Bellevue hosted a free "Pizza with Police" event last Thursday to build bonds between local officers and the community. Simple idea. Great vibe. More of this.

๐๏ธ $18.5M Plan to Turn Downtown Parking Lot Into 168 Rentals Just Got Approved
That surface parking lot north of the Post Office and east of the Brown County Library? It's finally happening. After seven years of trying to get something built there, the city's Redevelopment Authority approved a deal with La Crosse-based Three Sixty Real Estate Solutions on Monday.
The three-phase plan for the 2.5-acre lot on North Monroe Avenue includes:
Phase 1: Soil cleanup + 80-unit apartment building with underground parking (by the end of 2028)
Phase 2: 60-unit apartment building with commercial space on the ground floor (by the end of 2029)
Phase 3: Two townhouse buildings with 28 units total (by the end of 2030)
The developer says it's focused on affordable workforce housing. Think studios and one-bedrooms for nurses, young professionals, and people who actually work here. Groundbreaking is expected later this year.
The city bought the lot from Associated Bank for $1.2M back in 2019. The project is expected to create $18.5M in new property value and generate about $385K in annual tax revenue across the city, county, and school district.

Bay Beach Eyeing Changes for 2026 Season
The Parks Department is proposing a $7 fee for 69 "premier" parking spots right next to Bay Beach's main ticket booth. The remaining 1,440+ stalls stay free. Revenue (est. $30K-$40K/year) goes back into the park. A city committee discusses it next week.
Also: A new train station may be named the "M&D Depot" after a major donor who funded nearly the entire $1M+ west-end train project. Bay Beach opens in May.
