Hey Green Bay ππ
It feels like this time of year has a rhythm of its ownβ¦ the mornings start cold, the days fly by, and somehow itβs already dark before dinner. But thatβs kind of what makes it pleasant. Things slow down just enough to notice whatβs happening right here around us.
We have that cozy hum right now, people doing good things, places opening their doors, small wins that make our city feel connected. Nothing huge or flashy, just the everyday stuff that reminds you youβre part of something steady.
So grab your drink of choice, take five minutes for yourself, and letβs see whatβs been happening around town.

π ππ Resch Center Secures 5-Year Deal for WIAA Tournaments!
Big win for Titletown! π The Resch Center will remain home to Wisconsinβs high school state volleyball and basketball tournaments through 2030, thanks to a new 5-year agreement between PMI Entertainment Group and the WIAA.
Since hosting began, attendance records have soared, over 25,500 fans packed the stands for girlsβ volleyball last year, and girlsβ basketball has averaged 36,500 spectators! π
Beyond the games, these tournaments bring an estimated $2β3 million boost to the Green Bay area each year, filling hotels, restaurants, and shops with fans and families.
"We love it here- weβre not looking to go anywhere else!" said WIAA Executive Director Stephanie Hauser. β€οΈ
That's the kind of Titletown energy we love. π
πβ½ποΈ Green Bay Might Be Getting a Soccer Team!
Titletown's sports scene could be expanding! Green Bay is taking steps toward partnering with the United Soccer League (USL) to bring professional soccer to the city, complete with a brand-new stadium. β½
The basics: ποΈ Need 4-6 acres (ideally downtown)
β½ Soccer-specific stadium
π° Funding is the next big hurdle
Next up: Common Council vote on November 11th at 6 PM. If it passes, Green Bay moves closer to becoming a legit soccer city. π
Packers, Gamblers, Phoenix... and now potentially soccer? Titletown's resume is getting stacked! π
ππ₯π’ Year-Round Farmers' Market Gets a Permanent Home!
Big news for Military Avenue! After nearly a decade of farmers' markets bouncing around vacant spaces, the "Market on Military" just got $500,000 in city funding approval, and we're one step closer to making this dream a reality! π
The new facility at Murphy Park will be the permanent home for weekly farmers' markets (both summer and winter!), but here's the cool part: when it's not market day, it transforms into a community hub for pickleball games, dance classes, and neighborhood meetings. Multi-purpose magic! π
They still need to raise $4.5 million total (an anonymous donor already dropped $700,000, shoutout to mystery hero!), but if all goes to plan, construction could wrap up by late next year.
Fresh veggies, local vendors, and indoor pickleball? Military Avenue is leveling up! π

π¦ Safer Streets Ahead: Brown Countyβs βMost Dangerous Intersectionβ Revamped
Great news for drivers near Green Bay Southwest High School! π Officials just cut the ribbon on a $4 million project to completely revamp the Packerland Drive & Trojan Drive intersection, once labeled the most dangerous in Brown County.
The new upgrades include fresh repairs, improved access, and a shiny new roundabout designed to make traffic flow smoother and safer for everyone.
County Executive Troy Streckenbach called the project a βhome run for collaboration and safety,β crediting teamwork between Brown County, the City of Green Bay, and the Oneida Nation.
Hereβs to smoother rides and fewer fender benders, Green Bay! ππ

π₯ Rooted In Turns Game Day Leftovers into Meals for Families
Talk about teamwork, Green Bay! π After game day at Lambeau Field, more than 200 pounds of food were recovered and will be turned into hot meals for local families.
Local nonprofit Rooted In Inc. is hosting a Cooking for the Community event on Nov. 7, where volunteers will help prep meals made from food saved with help from the Packersβ vendor, Delaware North.
βThis is what happens when a community comes together,β said Selena Darrow, Rooted Inβs founder. βWeβre turning recovered food into nourishment and connection, one meal, one act of kindness at a time.β π
