Labor Day weekend is here, the unofficial send-off to summer. 🌞 For me, this weekend always feels like that last deep breath before the pace of fall kicks in. Cooler evenings, football tailgates, and the first hints of changing leaves are right around the corner. 🍂🏈

It’s a perfect time to pause, look back at the summer memories we’ve made, and look ahead to the new season coming. Whether you’re heading up north, camping out in the backyard, or just catching a quiet sunset by the Bay, I hope this long weekend gives you a chance to recharge.

Here’s to good food, good company, and a smooth slide into September.

📌On Broadway, Inc. Earns Gold Tier Recognition, Again!

On Broadway, Inc. has been recognized for the second year in a row as a Gold Tier Main Street Organization by the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation.

Out of the 37 designated Main Street programs across Wisconsin, only 10 organizations have achieved this distinction, and On Broadway is proudly one of them!

This honor highlights the Broadway District’s outstanding organizational effectiveness and deep community engagement, making downtown Green Bay a thriving hub of culture, art, and local business.

📌 Encompass Early Education and Care Launches New “Family Fridge” in Green Bay

A new resource is now available to help local families in need. Encompass Early Education and Care has launched a Family Fridge in Green Bay.

📍 Located at the Encompass Center on University Avenue, the fridge provides free, fresh, and accessible food to anyone in the community. Families can stop by, grab what they need, and help reduce food insecurity in our area.

This initiative is part of Encompass’s ongoing mission to support children and families in Northeast Wisconsin, ensuring every family has access to the essentials that make a difference.

 📌New Manufacturing Business Coming to De Pere

A major partnership is bringing growth and jobs to our community.

AmeriLux International, based in De Pere, has teamed up with Brett Martin Ltd., a plastics company from Northern Ireland, to launch the American Polycarbonate Company.

📍 The new extrusion facility in De Pere will manufacture polycarbonate sheets, a high-demand building material for U.S. markets.

This joint venture means new local jobs and stronger ties between Wisconsin and international markets. It’s a big win for De Pere’s economy and workforce!

🚀 The Promenade Opens in Green Bay

The Greater Green Bay Chamber celebrated the ribbon-cutting and grand opening of The Promenade, a brand-new 83-unit apartment community designed for active adults 55+.

With modern layouts, thoughtful design, and amenities that promote a vibrant lifestyle, The Promenade is a welcome addition to the community. Even better, it’s attached to the brand-new Pamperin Family Branch Library, creating a unique hub for living, learning, and connection.

Love giraffes? 🦒 The NEW Zoo & Adventure Park is looking for Giraffe Ambassador Volunteers! This program is open to anyone who wants to share their love for these gentle giants with the community.

👉 Kids as young as 8 years old can even join with a chaperone.
