Hey there, friends,

Feels like weβre finally coming out of winter a littleβ¦
The days are getting longer, thereβs more going on around town, and it actually feels like a good time to get out of the house again.
This week is a fun mix, too. Things for the kids, a few good options for you, and some easy, low-effort stuff if you just want to get out without overplanning.
Hereβs whatβs happening around Green Bay π
Over 10,000 Green Bay locals keep up with whatβs happening through Green Bay Buzz.
Got an event, news update, or something cool happening in the community?
Drop it in our π Event Submission Form and it might be featured in an upcoming edition. π
Green Bay Buzz exists because of the community, and we love highlighting what makes this city great. π

Wisconsin Watch just launched a new newsletter,Β βNortheast News,β focused entirely on our region.
What makes it different:
Breaks down how local decisions actually impact your daily life
Covers things like housing, jobs, education, and public health
Focuses on real community stories, not just headlines
Built from input from local residents and organizations
Itβs designed to be:
Clear
Useful
Actually relevant to where you live
π¬ Starts as biweekly, with plans to go weekly
π§ Temporary street closure to know
Heads up if youβre driving around this area next week.
Dousman Street (between N. Military Ave & N. Fisk St) will be temporarily closed starting Monday, March 30, for utility work tied to Chapel School.
π§ No official detour planned
π Access to homes and businesses will still be maintained
π Just expect slower traffic or minor delays if youβre nearby
πΆ Pet license deadline coming up
Quick reminder if youβve got pets at home π
The City of De Pere is asking residents to renew dog and cat licenses by March 31 to avoid late fees.
π Required for both dogs and cats
π Must be renewed each year
πΈ Late fees kick in after March 31

This is the same area that already brings in thousands of people each year through Broadway eventsβ¦ and now itβs being built out to host even more.
Why it matters:
More live events, concerts, and community gatherings
A stronger, more active downtown riverfront
Continued investment in making Green Bay a place people actually want to be
Construction will begin after final campaign funding wraps up, but momentum is clearly building.

π‘ A real shot at homeownership (applications open soon)
Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity is opening applications for its Homeownership Program on March 30th.

Quick details:
Only 7 applicants will be selected this round
Must have a debt-to-income ratio at or below 38%
If approved, a $2,000 escrow down payment is required
