📚 Big things are coming to Ashwaubenon.

New renderings were released for the Pamperin Family Branch Library, giving a first look at an updated community space designed for families, learning, and gathering. The plans highlight modern layouts, flexible spaces, and a strong focus on making the library more welcoming and helpful for all ages. A quiet but meaningful investment in the future of the area.

💚 Mental Health Support, Right When It’s Needed

Children’s Wisconsin has opened a mental health walk-in clinic in Green Bay for kids ages 5–18 experiencing urgent mental health concerns. No appointment needed. Families can walk in with a parent or guardian and speak with a licensed mental health therapist the same day.

Since similar clinics launched in Wisconsin, these services have already supported more than 3,400 kids, helping bridge a critical gap when children can’t wait days or weeks for care. The most common needs include anxiety, depression, trauma concerns, and school avoidance.

📰 💛 A De Pere teen is proving that small acts of kindness can make a big impact.

For the seventh year in a row, 19-year-old Grace Fuss of De Pere is delivering hope to people battling cancer through her nonprofit Fighting Cancer With Grace. This week, Grace and a group of volunteers packed 200 care packages filled with comforting essentials like blankets, puzzles, handwritten notes, and more, all headed to local hospitals.

What started when Grace was just 12 years old, inspired by her mom’s own cancer journey, has now grown into something truly special. Over the years, her nonprofit has donated 1,400 care packages valued at more than $225,000, all thanks to community support and donations.

👀 Watch Out

🚧 Heads up for commuters in 2026:
I-41 construction through De Pere and Wrightstown is expected to ramp up next year, with lane shifts, ramp closures, and slower travel times likely. Not urgent today, but definitely one to keep on your radar as planning picks up.

📈 Big Moments, Lasting Impact

The 2025 NFL Draft marked one of the biggest moments Green Bay has ever hosted, bringing national attention, record attendance, and a major economic boost to the area. Behind the scenes, it also meant years of planning, large-scale construction, roadwork, and significant public and private investment around Lambeau Field and the Resch Expo.

While the draft itself was the headline, the real story is what it set in motion. The infrastructure, experience, and confidence gained from hosting an event of this scale position Green Bay for continued growth well beyond 2025.

Here’s to carrying that momentum into 2026 and beyond, with more opportunities, development, and good things taking shape across the community.

Fresh Bites on the Horizon 🌮➡️

Green Bay’s food scene isn’t slowing down in the new year. If anything, it’s just getting started.

Several new restaurants are lining up to open in early 2026, adding more variety, new concepts, and fresh energy to the local dining mix. From familiar names expanding to new spots, finding their footing, the area continues to grow into a place where trying something new doesn’t require leaving town.

A few to keep on your radar:

  • District Pour House (Ashwaubenon)

  • Bay House Landing (Scott, former Old English Inn location)

  • Rocky’z (Scott)

Some openings have taken a little longer thanks to construction timelines, while others are actively hiring and gearing up behind the scenes. Either way, the takeaway is simple: more local places, more choices, more reasons to eat out in 2026.

Green Bay’s generosity didn’t end with Christmas. ❤️

Local food pantries across the area are reminding us that while the holidays may be over, the community’s heart is still very much in season. Post-Christmas is one of the toughest times of year for families facing food insecurity, but Green Bay continues to show up in a big way.

Organizations like Paul’s Pantry and Rooted In are serving thousands of pounds of food daily, powered by donations, volunteers, and neighbors helping neighbors. Financial donations are especially impactful right now, helping pantries stretch supplies through the winter months.

If you’re looking for a meaningful way to start the new year, this is a simple one: donate if you can, spread the word, or support local food programs when you’re able. Every little bit helps keep plates full across our community.
