Hey there π
Before we get into everything happening this week, we just want to say, happy Mother's Day to every mom reading this. π
To every mom, thank you. For the early mornings and the late nights. For the doctor appointments remembered, the permission slips signed, and the dinners made when you were running on empty. For the way you love your family like it's the most important job in the world, because it is.
Green Bay has a beautiful Sunday lined up for you. Free admission to the zoo. Bloom at the Botanical Garden. Brunch, mimosas, golf, and good food. You deserve all of it and then some.
Now let's get into the week. π

π De Pere Just Approved a $70M Waterfront Development
Big news out of De Pere. The Common Council unanimously approved a conceptual plan Tuesday night for a $70 million waterfront development just north of the Main Avenue bridge, on the same stretch of land that has sat empty since a fire took out a building back in 2019.
The project includes 165 apartments and 33 condominiums, plus retail space, indoor parking, and outdoor dining along the riverfront.
π Apartment rents expected from $1,300 to $2,600/month
π‘ Condos could sell from $300,000 to over $1 million
π° Supported by approximately $12M in existing TIF district incentives, minimal taxpayer impact
ποΈ Construction could begin as early as 2027
"It's an area downtown that, unfortunately, experienced a fire back in 2019, which took out a building. So we kind of have a blank canvas right now." De Pere Mayor James Boyd

ποΈ Beer + Barbells: Community Workout + After Party
This one has a great story behind it. Instead of sitting in the loss, they turned it into action.
Saturday's event is how they're building momentum. All-level workout at BodΔ GRB followed by an after-party at Symba's Pub + Grub. $20 gets you the class and one free drink. Raffles on site.
