and more.
Hey there π
May is basically here, and Green Bay is not easing into it - it's sprinting. πββοΈπ¨
The weather this week is classic Wisconsin spring - mid-50s, a little stubborn, jacket-in-the-morning, question-your-jacket-by-noon energy. βοΈπ§₯ But the city isn't waiting on sunshine to get moving. Downtown has cranes in the sky, new businesses landing, neighbors showing up for each other, and a Saturday lineup that honestly has no business being this packed.
What I love most about putting this together every week is how much is quietly happening here that most people just scroll right past. This week, you just get to watch it all happen at once. Go be part of it. πΏπ

π NDA Students Are Turning Clothespins Into Clean Clothes for Kids
About 40 students at Notre Dame Academy are decorating thousands of clothespins as part of the "Pin It Forward" campaign for Laundry Love Brown County - a nonprofit that covers laundry costs for low-income families at a local laundromat every Tuesday.
Students are hand-decorating the pins and 20 collection jugs, which will be placed at local businesses for the public to buy
Proceeds go directly toward covering soap and machine costs for families in need
More than a dozen area schools are participating alongside NDA
Laundry Love Brown County shows up every Tuesday at a local laundromat to cover costs for families who need it most
The kind of thing that makes you proud of the next generation in this community. π
π΄ Two St. Norbert Grads Are Biking 57 Miles for Cancer Research in Wisconsin
A pair of recent St. Norbert College graduates is training for a 57-mile bike ride to raise funds for cancer research right here in Wisconsin.
The ride is part of a larger cancer research fundraising effort tied to Wisconsin-based organizations
Two grads putting their legs - and their commitment to the community - to work after graduation
Details and donation link coming - follow along as they train
Local people are doing big things for a cause that touches almost every family. Worth rooting for. πͺ
π Packers Wrap Their 2026 Draft Class
Green Bay came into draft weekend with eight picks and left with six - the smallest class in over two decades. But don't let that fool you.
GM Brian Gutekunst let the board come to him and largely filled the team's biggest needs
No first-round pick this year (traded away to land Micah Parsons from Dallas last August)
Key picks: CB Brandon Cisse (Round 2), DL Chris McClellan (Round 3), and kicker Trey Smack (Round 6 - yes, they traded UP to grab their kicker, putting McManus on notice)
A Wisconsin connection worth rooting for: St. Mary's Springs grad Billy Schrauth was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Round 5
