π°The New Stories in Green Bay
πBrown County Eyes $3.5M Investment in Green Bay's Infrastructure
Brown County is considering a $3.5 million contribution to support the construction of a new Green Bay fire station and apartment buildings. The proposed funding aims to enhance public safety and address housing needs within the community. The county's Human Services Committee is set to discuss this potential investment in their upcoming meeting.β
The Fennimore-based college has earned the 2025 Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence, a prestigious national honor recognizing top performance in student success, equity, and workforce outcomes. It beat out more than 1,000 community colleges nationwide β a big win for Wisconsin education!
πRed Smith Development Moves ForwardThe
Green Bay City Council has officially approved the massive Red Smith neighborhood project on the cityβs far east side. The plan includes 218 single-family homes, 160 apartment units, 9 duplexes, and over 29 acres of green space and stormwater management.
After months of public debate, the final version of the project limits apartment units to address resident concerns, while still making room for future commercial development and much-needed housing variety.

π Green Bay Named a Top City for Startups
Green Bay has officially been ranked as one of the most supportive cities in the U.S. for launching a business, according to a new report from MarketBeat.com.
From local incubators like the Startup Hub and Urban Hub, to investment networks like Tundra Angels and powerhouse partnerships like TitletownTech (a collaboration between the Packers and Microsoft), the city is making serious moves to become a Midwest innovation hub.
Itβs a win for entrepreneurs, dreamers, and the local economy.

π¦Samβs Club Green Bay to Undergo High-Tech Remodel
Big changes are coming to the W. Mason St. Samβs Club, as it joins a national initiative to modernize over 600 stores. The remodel includes register-free shopping using the Scan & Go app, new layouts, and on-site help from βmember specialistsβ to make checkout faster and smoother.
