One of Green Bay’s largest hometown companies just hit a significant milestone. Schreiber Foods is celebrating its 80th anniversary and they marked the occasion with a $100,000 donation to fight hunger across the community.

What began as a small local cheesemaker in 1945 has evolved into a global food company with deep roots in Green Bay. This anniversary isn’t just about looking back; it’s about giving back. The donation will help local hunger relief efforts and strengthen the safety net for families in need.

📌🤖Meet De Pere’s New Robot Janitor

The future just rolled into De Pere schools. Literally, the district just approved an $89,000 robot janitor to help keep the halls shining.

This autonomous floor sweeper will handle the everyday grind (think endless hallways and gym floors), giving human custodians more time for the tough jobs.

📌💻 Hospitals Launch New Digital Care Platform

Patients in Green Bay will soon have an easier time managing their recovery thanks to a new digital platform rolling out in local hospitals.

The tool connects patients with follow-up resources after discharge, making it more straightforward to access instructions, schedule care, and stay on track with their recovery plans. Hospital leaders say it’s designed to reduce readmissions and give families more peace of mind.

🌊 Connect the Bay Public Meeting

Have your say in shaping Green Bay’s waterfront! The City of Green Bay is hosting a Connect the Bay Public Meeting to gather input on a major shoreline restoration project.

This project will:

• Reduce flooding risks

• Create a wildlife habitat

🍖 High Kaliber BBQ Is Almost Here

The countdown is on, Green Bay, High Kaliber BBQ is firing up for its brand-new spot, and the smoke is already in the air.

Licenses? ✅ Menu? Almost locked. ✅ TVs? Hung and ready for game day. ✅
Now it’s down to the finishing touches, bars, benches, and a little polish before the doors swing open.

🎯 Word is, we could see some soft openings and invite-only preview nights soon, with a full launch by mid-November.

So get your napkins ready… High Kaliber’s craft kitchen is about to make this fall a whole lot tastier. 🔥🍺

🏥 St. Mary’s Expansion Could Reshape Green Bay’s Skyline

Construction has begun on a $270 million expansion plan by Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) for its Green Bay hospitals.

The project at HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital Medical Center (1726 Shawano Ave.) includes upgrades, modernization, and the addition of new space that could eventually make it the tallest building in Green Bay.

Demolition of the former Crossroads Care Center is already underway to make room for the expansion. Plans for St. Vincent Hospital have not been announced yet.

This project marks one of the most significant healthcare investments in Green Bay's history.

🎃Public Pumpkin Carving at the NEW Zoo

Get ready to carve! The NEW Zoo & Adventure Park is hosting a Public Pumpkin Carving Event on Wednesday, October 8, from 4–8 pm.

Bring the family, carve pumpkins to light up the Zoo’s pathways, and enjoy FREE pizza from Happy Joe’s (while supplies last), thanks to support from Happy Joe’s Pizza & Ice Cream and Piggly Wiggly Howard/Suamico.

🍺 Ale on the Trail

Raise a glass to the great outdoors! The Friends of the Fox River Trail present Ale on the Trail on Saturday, October 12, from 11 am – 3 pm.

Enjoy a stroll or bike ride along the Fox River Trail while sampling craft beer from local breweries at tasting stations set up along the way. Proceeds benefit trail improvements and community programming.

🎨 SNC Art Club Supply Drive for GB Schools

The St. Norbert College Art Club is hosting an Art Supplies Drive from October 6 to 17 to support teachers and students in the Green Bay School District.

The drive aims to collect essential classroom materials, paints, pencils, markers, paper, and more, to help fill the gaps where resources are limited. Donations directly support local students in acquiring the tools they need to create and express themselves.
