The City of Green Bay is asking for your voice in reimagining St. John’s Park, a beloved downtown green space that has served generations.

🗓️ Public Input Meeting
When: Wednesday, July 23 | 6–8 p.m.
Where: City Hall, 2nd-Floor Council Chambers (100 N. Jefferson St.)

This is your chance to influence what the park could look like in the next 10, 20, or 50 years. Think playgrounds, gardens, public art, cultural events, and gathering spaces. Whether you live nearby or just enjoy the park occasionally, your input matters.

📌🏗️ Rezoning in Motion: Day Street Mill Redevelopment Moves Forward

Green Bay’s downtown is about to get a serious facelift. The Day Street Mill property, 44+ acres along the Fox and East Rivers, just got one step closer to a full transformation.

📰 On July 15, the City Council approved a memorandum of understanding with Scout Development GB LLC, outlining a plan to redevelop the historic Georgia-Pacific site into a vibrant blend of commercial, residential, and riverfront public space.

🗓️ Key Timeline:

• October 2025: Environmental assessment

• November 2025: Planned Unit Development (PUD) application submitted

• Jan 2026: Final city decision + expected property acquisition

🏙️ Big Picture: The redevelopment could bring light industry, new housing, riverfront trails, and commercial life to an area once dominated by mills.

It’s official, the 2025 NFL Draft generated a jaw-dropping $72.9 million economic impact for the Green Bay area, smashing original projections of just $20 million.
