Newsletter #2- What’s cooking in the kitchen — and across the city this week

Hey Buzz fam,
Between keeping our chickens fed and trying not to kill my sourdough starter (again), it’s been one of those weeks. The kind where you look up and realize you’ve got flour on your shirt and straw in your socks... and it’s not even noon. 🐓🍞
Trying to bake bread while managing a backyard coop during a chilly Wisconsin snap? Let’s just say I’ve developed a deep appreciation for strong coffee and early bedtimes.
Meanwhile, Green Bay is buzzing — the Draft stage is rising, campgrounds are booking up, new spots are opening, and it honestly feels like the whole city’s shaking off winter and waking up a bit.
I’ve pulled together the best of it for you below — news, events, and openings for a good weekend break.
Let’s get into it —

📰Buzz Break: The Biggest Stories in Green Bay

📌Heads Up: It’s About to Get Loud in Green Bay
As Green Bay prepares to host the 2025 NFL Draft from April 24 to 26, residents and visitors should anticipate increased noise levels throughout the week. The event will feature various activities, including the NFL Draft Experience, concerts, and other festivities, contributing to the heightened sound environment.
Key Points:
Event Dates: April 24–26, 2025
Location: Lambeau Field, Titletown District, and surrounding areas
Activities Contributing to Noise:
NFL Draft Experience
Concerts following draft rounds on Friday and Saturday
Fan gatherings and celebrations
Local authorities are coordinating with event organizers to manage noise levels and minimize disruptions. Residents are advised to stay informed about event schedules and plan accordingly.
The main stage for the 2025 NFL Draft just hit a milestone — the roof is officially up. Set in the northeast lot of Lambeau, this buildout is the center of the action, with the free NFL Draft Experience gearing up nearby in Titletown.
Crowds, cameras, and a whole lot of football energy? It’s coming fast.
Green Bay’s New Community Shelter is stepping up in a big way — launching a $14 million plan to build a 41-unit supportive apartment building to help individuals transition out of homelessness.
It’s more than housing. It’s hope, stability, and a fresh start for those ready to rebuild.

🍺 Local Gem Spotlight: Copper State Brewing Co.

Located in the heart of downtown Green Bay, Copper State Brewing Co. isn’t just serving up craft beer — they’re a brewing community. Housed in a historic building with roots back to 1934, they’ve become a go-to spot for bold brews, comfort food, and local gatherings.
They host trivia nights, live music, and seasonal releases — making them more than just a brewery. Whether you’re stopping in for a pint or planning a private event in their beer hall, Copper State is a place that truly celebrates what makes Green Bay unique.
